CAS on Friday - Exotic

It has been a beautiful week.  Not too hot, but I hear the heat wave is coming in.  I'm hoping the husband will be feeling a bit better in a little while so we can go play some tennis!  I have missed his hard hitting :)

I have a Giveaway going on.  If you are interested, check it out here!

We have another challenge starting today at CAS on Friday.  Our theme for this week is Exotic!  I wanted to do something a little different, so I looked up this word and found that is means foreign, and colorful.  And came up with this card...

I stamped and masked a few of these monsters and colored them with Copics.  I love color, so this was a super fun card to make.  The images are easy to color, so it didn't take much time at all.

Here's a close up of the card. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Wheels

Another beautiful summer week!  Lots of sun, warm weather and tennis with the husband.  The highlight of my week!

I have another Giveaway going on...check it out here!

We have another challenge starting today at Addicted to CAS.  Our theme for this week is wheels! How fun is that.  Immediately, I knew that I wanted to go with a bicycling card for all those bike riders in the family! Here's my take on the challenge.

This was a fun card to make.  I pulled out my stencil and embossed the bikes on the dark card stock.  I then added a little bit of red card stock to the bottom.  Stamped the sentiment and the star and done! Really a quick and simple card!

Here's a bit of a close up of the card. No dimension, so super easy to send through the mail!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - No Stamps

Another beautiful summer day...enjoying the ability to play tennis with the husband!

I have another Giveaway going on...check it out here!

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More!  Our theme for this week is No Stamps...basically use any other supply you have, just no stamps.  Here's my take on the challenge...

My friend requested that I make this card for her husband's upcoming birthday...so I pulled out some masculine color stock and this is what I came up with.

Pretty simple card.  I used an embossing folder and some dies and was able to make this card quickly.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Friday - Primary Colors

Hope all our US friends are recovering from a festive Independence Day Celebration.  Nice time to hang out and relax.

My first, of many, giveaways is going on now...if you haven't entered you still have time.  More details can be found here!

Another challenge starting today over at CAS on Friday.  Our theme for this challenge is Primary Colors.  Pull out your red, yellow and blue.  Here's my take for the challenge...

This was a fun card to make as it has a lot of coloring...which is my favorite!  I simply stamped this image and colored it with copic markers.  I then cut the bubble and stamped the sentiment.

It still looked a bit empty so I added a few silver stars.

All in all, pretty quick card!

Here's a bit of a close up of the card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Colored Cardbase

Another beautiful week here in California.  It has been a hectic week, but for all good reasons.  Tons of fun, tennis, and family!  Doesn't get better than that!

Remember...I have a Giveaway going on for another week, so find out how to participate here!

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More.  Our theme for this challenge, which will be running for two weeks, is using a colored cardbase...anything but white!  On top of that, this is a one layer challenge.  I love one layer challenges, because I can color, which is my favorite technique. However, this gave me a bit of pause with a color card base...so instead, I went for super simple!

Addicted to CAS - Summer

Well it is a perfect summer day, which is just in line with the newest challenge from Addicted to CAS.  Our theme for this challenge is summer!  Lots of fun opportunities with this theme.  Here's what I came up with for the challenge...

This is a super fun card to make...I started by sponging the background. I then stamped the images and colored them with copic markers.  I used the inlaid die technique for the penguin and the sentiment.  Lastly, I adhered the tree to the polaroid.  I used foam tape to give the polariod a bit of dimension, but first added a bit of interest to the yellow card stock by stamping a few suns!

Here's a bit of a close up of the card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Colors of the Flag

Another beautiful week here in sunny California!  Don't forget I have a give away right now, and if you are interested in winning a die and sequins pack check out this post to see how to enter!

We also have another challenge starting over a Less is More.  Our theme for today is using the colors of your countries flag. This was easy for me since I was in need of a thank you card and wanted to use a particular set from My Favorite Things.  Here's my take on the challenge...

This is a super simple card.  I stamped the image on some white card stock and colored it with Copic markers.  Since this is a small image it was easy and quick to color.  I then used my rectangle die and cut out the image.  I added some red paper to frame the main focal point.

Here's a close up of the card.  I decided not to pop up the image on foam tape to allow for easier mailing.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
